MTV Video Music Awards 2025: i vincitori

La cerimonia di premiazione dell’7 settembre 2025 all’UBS Arena di Elmont, a New York, condotto da LL Cool J.

Questa edizione Lady Gaga, era in lizza per 12 statuette, seguita da Bruno Mars con 11 e Kendrick Lamar con 10. Rosé e Sabrina Carpenter con 8 nomination, Ariana Grande e The Weeknd con 7, Billie Eilish con 6, Charli xcx con 5 e Bad Bunny, Doechii, Ed Sheeran, Jelly Roll, Miley Cyrus e Tate McRae con 4.

Artist of the Year

Lady Gaga,  ha dominato la serata con ben 4 premi, tra cui:

• Artist of the Year
• Best Collaboration (con Bruno Mars per “Die With A Smile”)
• Best Direction
• Best Art Direction (entrambi per “Abracadabra”)

Video of the Year

Ariana Grande – “Brighter Days Ahead”

Inoltre la cantante ha vinto anche Best Pop e Best Long Form Video.

Best New Artist

Alex Warren – Grazie al singolo “Ordinary”, primo in classifica Billboard.

Sabrina Carpenter ha portato a casa tre premi:

• Best Pop Artist
• Best Album (“Short n’ Sweet”)
• Best Visual Effects (“Manchild”)

Best Hip Hop & Best Choreography

Doechii – Premi per “Anxiety”, confermando il suo impatto nell’hip-hop contemporaneo

Best Rock

Coldplay. Riconoscimento per la loro continua innovazione musicale

Sombr.Per il brano “Back to Friends” tratto dall’album “I Barely Know Her”

Push Performance of the Year

KATSEYE. Girl band premiata per l’EP “Beautiful Chaos”

Vince come Best Group le Blackpink

Song of the Year è andato a ROSÉ & Bruno Mars – “APT.”

Best R&B: Mariah Carey – “Type Dangerous”

Best K-pop è Lisa ft. Doja Cat & Raye – “Born Again”.

Best Afrobeats: Tyla – “Push 2 Start”

Megan Moroney – “Am I Okay?” ha vinto per il Best Country.

Best Latin vince la cantante colombiana Shakira con Soltera.

Inoltre Mariah Carey ha vinto il premio Michael Jackson Vanguard e Ricky Martin  ha ricevuto il Latin Icon.
