Coachella: storia degli headliner dal 1999

Il Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival è uno degli eventi musicali più iconici al mondo, che ogni anno trasforma il deserto della California in un palcoscenico per i più grandi artisti internazionali. Dal suo debutto nel 1999, Coachella ha ospitato headliner leggendari e lineup che hanno definito generazioni di musica.

1999 – Beck, Rage Against the Machine, Tool

Rage Against the Machine, Tool e Beck hanno inaugurato il festival con un mix di rock e suoni sperimentali. In questa edizione hanno suonato anche:  A Perfect Circle, Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals, Moby, The Chemical Brothers, Perry Farrell, Pavement

2001 – Jane’s Addiction

Dopo una pausa nel 2000, Coachella è tornato con Jane’s Addiction come unico headliner. Hanno suonato anche: Iggy Pop, The Dandy Warhols, Sigur Rós, Blonde Redhead.

2002 – Björk, Oasis

Björk è stata la prima donna headliner, accompagnata da Oasis, Foo Fighters, The Strokes, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Queens of the Stone Age,The Vines, Jack Black, The (International) Noise Conspiracy.
